Witnessing an old, worn-out space being revitalized is truly remarkable — and this Weymouth bathroom renovation exemplifies how a few clever design decisions can entirely transform the appearance and ambiance of a home, thanks to the new modern fixtures and fittings.
First, we removed all the old sanitary ware, took off the tiles, and tore up the old flooring.Next, we expanded the small, cramped bathroom by taking part of the spare room to create space for an enclosed shower area.
Afterward, we modified all the plumbing and electrical systems for the new bathtub position and installed a completely new lighting setup with a built-in extractor to eliminate moisture from the air.
We incorporated built-in storage with slatted shelving for this project.
Then, we refreshed the entire bathroom by plastering the ceiling and walls to create a clean work surface.
This led to installing the bathtub and new marble-effect wall paneling to enhance the feel of an open showering space.
Next, we focused on the flooring, laying down a WBP base layer and finishing it with the sleek look of Karndean, which provides a great tile effect while being durable and warm to the touch.
This smoothly transitioned into fitting the basin and WC units with a modern Isocast all-in-one basin and worktop, offering a seamless finish.
We installed a brand new Victorian four-panel door and adjusted the opening to accommodate the towel rail, enhancing the new bathroom layout.
We painted the entire bathroom with mould-resistant white scrubbable paint, ideal for a damp environment like a bathroom.
To complete the project, we applied silicone around the entire bathroom to ensure a watertight finish.
